… India & Nepal have been a great reminder that we westerners complain a lot, we make up troubles that are not there and perhaps live in somewhat of a deluded state of mind at times.
Watching, observing and sinking in to daily life in these beautiful countries I see people living – – really living and accepting their life as it has been laid out before them, knowing perhaps on some deeper level that existence is indeed a gift, and one that must never be scoffed at.
For most in these countries life is hard, very hard. The gap been rich and poor is incredulous. The wealthy seem to accept that those in poverty, well are just that with the hundreds and thousands of years of conditioning they have become hardened to the fact that yes we all are … human beings.
I imagine the harsh lives not even fathomable or explainable for those who do not witness life such as this for themselves. For I can tell you these people have nothing, but once you see it, feel it, touch it, you understand the nothing they have outweighs all the materialistic wants of Western living. It is a great reminder to live simply, avoid unnecessary complications and most of all to live and cherish this gift of life itself.
I have the deepest respect for these people, the deepest. They seem to flow with the natural current of life, something we could all perhaps learn from…. Ahhhh…
